So, Thaddeus and I were hanging out today watching old music videos on YouTube (all in the name of research, of course) and we realized that between the two of us, there are so many videos we haven’t seen! I moved overseas in the late ’80s which is pretty much when all of my friends started getting MuchMusic (the Canadian version of MTV) in their homes, and Thaddeus, having grown up in the jungle, didn’t have much access to television in general. So we had a pretty awesome time digging up old clips and laughing about how ridiculous and/or amazing people looked in some of the videos.
One of my favourite songs is ‘Gypsy’ by Fleetwood Mac, and I had never seen the video for it before. I won’t say that it’s a cinematographic masterpiece or anything, but I did have a lot of fun watching it.
And Thaddeus is a big Sabbath fan, so we were rocking out to this one:
So that was our day. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it…
